The 42ity Network

Welcome to 42ity.net, the future location of a revolutionary ride sharing network. Here at 42ity.net, we are currently in the early research and development stage of our project. We are looking for government support, capital raising options, any advice from relevant professionals and the appropriate software development company to take our massive project on.

As early as we are on this journey, what we do have is a well polished vision of what 42ity.net can be, and the impact it will have on society all over the globe.

42ity.net is going to be a global network of members who are able to organize carpooling with each other, on the fly, via their mobile phones. The end goal is to be able to stand on any street corner on earth and log in to the 42ity mobile software application, request a ride to your destination, and have another member pull over to pick you up with their car within 15 minutes. They will be there to pick you up, not because they were sitting there waiting for your request, but because they just happened to be driving past your location, and past your destination anyway.

From a passenger’s point of view, the benefits are obvious. They get a ride to their destination when they want it, without much effort, and all for free or next to nothing. From the driver’s point of view, they get to meet people and they get to give back to the network which they will no doubt use from time to time themselves. They help reduce emissions and traffic congestion by taking on a passenger or two along the way. They may organize a sharing of fuel costs with their passenger, thereby saving them money for their own trip. And in our ideal scenario, governments around the world will provide compensation in the form of tax breaks to members who provide lifts to members of the network – they are after all, improving the local community by removing another car from the road. Other incentives to keep a community overflowing with active, willing drivers are also being explored.
